Family Fun on Land
Fun and educational experiences include visits to the Bahamian Field Station, on the site of an old U. S. Navy base; Watling's Castle, an old plantation site; the beach where Christopher Columbus first made landfall in the New World; the New World Museum, with exhibits on the island's history; and Dixon Hill Lighthouse, one of only three remaining hand-wound lighthouses in the world. Add horseback riding along one of the beaches and top of your day with a Bahamian lunch.
