This high-speed Fast Ferry service is a fully air-conditioned vessel that whisks you from Nassau to one of several other major islands.

• The M/V BoHengy – high-speed daily service from Nassau to Harbour Island and North Eleuthera (twice on Fridays) and twice weekly from Nassau to Governor’s Harbour, Eleuthera (Friday & Sunday). This unique waterborne experience is via a 115-foot, high-speed catamaran that can accommodate approximately 177 passengers and is fully air-conditioned.

• The M/V Sealink – round-trip service from Nassau to Exuma, Andros and Eleuthera.

• The M/V Seawind – round-trip service from Nassau to Andros, Eleuthera and Abaco.

Local Ferries

Most islands have a local ferry service to shuttle travelers (and locals) to and from neighboring cays and harbors of the main island, and sometimes between two different island groups. They are known as water taxis, and provide a fun and convenient way to island hop. Prices and schedules vary from island to island, but what remains constant is the opportunity to ride on many types and sizes of boats skippered by a variety of Bahamian personalities. 

Mailboats

Inter-island mailboats depart from Nassau and run weekly roundtrips to/from all islands. The mailboats are a leisurely way to get around. One-way passage to just about anywhere ranges from $30 to $100 depending on the distance. Remember, these mailboats run on Bahamas time, so they're a great way to slow down to the steady rhythm of the islands.

Private Boat

If you came to the islands on your own boat you are more than welcome and encouraged to explore our archipelago by sea. There are several places on each island that offer fully functioning slips, as well as the numerous places surrounding the islands to drop anchor and just be.
